I live outside of the continental United States, can I still become a member?
If you live in Hawaii or Alaska, we can ship DVD only. Video tapes take longer during shipping, and would not benefit customers living outside of the continental United States at this time. If you live in Alaska or Hawaii and want to join, look at the "format" line in the video description. If it says DVD, or BOTH, it will be available to you.
What type of VHS/DVD tapes do you carry?
We carry mostly educational videos. Most of our inventory is in DVD format. If a video is offered in DVD we will offer it to you in that format. We do not offer mainstream movies, unless it is of literary/educational or family friendly content.
Will you give my personal information out to third parties?
A+ Educational Video will not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to anyone. Your personal information collected from us is used exclusively to process your orders. For your added safety, do not share your user name or password to anyone.

What if the Video you sent me is unplayable?
This is extremely rare, but if you receive a damaged VHS, please contact our Customer Service department immediately. We will then ask you if you would like another copy sent to you. If you are having tracking problems with the VHS tape, before contacting us, try pressing both channel buttons on your VCR player "at the same time". Do I have to pay if I lose or break a VHS or DVD?
Unfortunately, we will need to replace that item in our inventory. In order to do this, we will charge your credit card only the "replacement" cost of the tape. The replacement cost is the price that we will have to pay to replace that VHS/DVD, not necessarily the retail price. If in A+ Educational Video estimation, excessive loss or damage by a customer of our merchandise is determined, we reserve the right to cancel that customer's membership.
What about multiple tape sets?

Do you offer learning guides with your videos?
We do not send out learning guides with our titles. Learning/Teacher's guides are available on most of the distributor's websites for you to print out on your computer. You can find these sites on our Links page or on the back of most titles.
I teach a small group of homeschool children Science, is it legal for me to show your tapes to them?
All VHS tapes and DVD's come with certain performance rights in which you agree to abide by when signing up with us. However, there is an exemption in the U.S. Copyright Law called the Copyright Law Revision of 1975, Section 110, Title 17. This revision gives educators the legal right to use VHS/DVD tapes for educational purposes as long as the following conditions apply: 1) an instructor must be present during the showing of the video/dvd. 2) the video/dvd is used in the course of face-to-face instruction in a non-profit institution, in a classroom, or similar place devoted to instruction. 3) no duplication of video/dvd tapes is permitted. 4) no admission/fee can be charged.

For further information about this exemption, go to http://www4.law.cornell.edu/uscode/17/110.html.

How do I contact you if I have a question or a problem?
Please contact A+ Educational Video via e-mail anytime at customerservice@aplusvideorentals.com, or call us at 678-580-5063, Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Eastern Standard Time. What if I have trouble playing a DVD?
If you have received a DVD title that is unplayable, try cleaning the disc first. (window cleaner on a soft paper towel works well.). Windex wipes work even better. Also, try removing the scratch protector. Some DVD players won't work with the protector on. If you still have trouble, please e-mail Customer Service. Please return the damaged disc, as many damaged discs can be repaired with our polishing machine. This helps keep costs low for all our customers.
What do the terms Short Wait and Long Wait mean?
Some of your videos may display a wait status. This is an indication that more customers want to see this video than we have copies. We recommend that you keep your videos in the order in which you prefer to see them, regardless of their wait time. Short Wait: We don't have quite enough copies to meet current demand. We should have enough copies in the near future. Long Wait: There is considerably more demand than available copies. It is unlikely that we will be able to send this video within the next week or two. Wait time for Long Wait status is generally less than 30 days.
If I cancel my membership, when are outstanding titles due back?
There are several things to keep in mind once you cancel your account: 1)Cancellation will be effective immediately. WE DO NOT GIVE REFUNDS FOR PARTIAL MONTHLY SUBSCRIPTION PERIODS OR UNWATCHED VIDEOS. 2)Outstanding rentals must be mailed back to us within 7 days of cancellation. If we do not receive them back within 7 days, we will have to charge your account for any outstanding titles. If you find it will be difficult to get them back within 7 days, you must send us an e-mail stating why there will be a delay to avoid charges.
